Ó

Here's an example of serendipity: a guy who lost his PlayStation 3 controller (never mind why, we don't know either) used a PC controller and it "worked perfectly." This was confirmed numerous times in the PlayStation 3 forum thread where it was first posted.

The controller he used was the Logitech dual action game pad. It's also been noted that this "discovery" has been discovered before by other individuals but some might not have caught whiff of it yet. At least now, you know you have an alternative in case you lose your controller (never mind why).

Note that it won't have the same functions as the DualShock 3 or the SIXAXIS controllers if you try it for yourself though. Here's the PC controller in action on the PlayStation 3:

uhh..

Resistance isnt rumble enabled yet (theres going to be an update for that game). But if he goes out and buys Ratchet and clank: tools of watever It'll work I bet (cause that game is rumble enabled out the box).

old news but cool to spread the word

I tried every single pad and its allrecognized, just make sure you have enough buttons.

The coolest is the 2.4ghz pc rumblepad, works nice. ;)

geesh

isnt it still clear yet to the minds of all PS3 owners?
ALMOST ALL PC USB CONTROLLERS will work on the ps3 as long as it is Windows HID compliant, it means mostly all USB controllers that you can plug on a windows that automatically install itself without the need for external drivers.
