Honda has finally unveiled the fuel-hybrid concept car that they've featured way back in 2004. During the recent LA Auto Show, the production version of the FCX Clarity finally made its debut and will hopefully be seen on the roads sometime soon. The car runs on electricity using a hydrogen fuel cell instead of conventional gasoline. So aside from looking pretty sleek, it's pretty eco-friendly for those environmentally conscious drivers.
The car's mileage is pretty decent as well, running at around 68 miles per gallon. While lucky drivers who will be getting behind the wheel of this sweet ride can only refuel at one of three hydrogen fuel stations in Southern California, Honda is looking into developing a Home Energy Station that may eventually supply energy to the home while filling up the car inside the garage.
Only 100 FCX Clarity vehicles will be leased out by Honda, but hopefully other car manufacturers will be taking a page out of this "green" machine and help out the environment by creating their own eco-friendly models.
