Dell's Latitude D240 - Image 1Tech site jkOnTheRun boldly predicts that Dell will be launching its Tablet PC this fall. This amidst all the speculation (and with absolutely no validation whatsoever from Dell) that there is indeed one in the works.

According to the site, they received a tip from a reader who allegedly got to talking with two Dell representatives at two different public events. Allegedly, there is already a particular month in which the Tablet PC will be launched, namely, either in September or October of this year. App art from this, the gadget will supposedly be a convertible Tablet, and will be based on the Latitude D420 notebook computer.

Piqued your interest yet? Read on for more of the rumored features. If any of these turns out to be real, well then, we just might be looking at one handsome Tablet PC package.
  • compatibility with all Latitude D series accessories (ie. docking stations, power adapters, etc.)
  • to come with only an active digitizer
  • optional Wireless Broadband feature
  • widescreen display
Keep it posted here for more details on this rumor. You might as well keep those fingers crossed, too, that this is all for real.
