Cingular Announces 2004 Nokia Phone

Let the Comedy Begin:  Cingular today launched the Nokia 9300 smartphone and is now available nationwide.  Yes, you heard me right, the 2004 Nokia 9300. Ready to see the “out of date” specs:

• EDGE high-speed data
• QWERTY keyboard
• 80MB memory
• 640×200 screen, 65K colors
• Bluetooth
• Symbian 0S 7
• Blackberry Connect

Cingular is selling the Nokia 9300 for $299.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. A 2-year contract is required.

Okay, so perhaps I'm being a little harsh, but no WIFI or Windows 5...What the...smartphone?  IÂ’m pretty sure this is the Nokia that was showcased in The Saint with Val Kilmer, oh wait maybe its not that old...Couldn't they at least offered the 9300i?

I would go for the Nokia 6682, or go with the HP PDA phone, which upgrades to Mobile 5.
