CES 2008: future PS3 BD-Live update, Profile 2.0 players Sapphire 3, 4 |

According to website Blu-ray.com, Sony's booth at the on-going Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas is showcasing two new Blu-ray players and has also something exciting to offer in the future for PlayStation 3 owners.
First, it was mentioned that players Sapphire 3 and 4 are currently on display and that the two are both carrying Profile 2.0 or what is referred to as BD-Live. For those not familiar with this specific profile, here are some of its standard features:
- 64KB built-in persistent memory
- 1GB local storage capability
- Mandatory secondary video decoder
- Mandatory secondary audio decoder
- Mandatory virtual file system
- Mandatory Internet connection capability

Sony take this time to update Blu-ray once again, things are really starting to tip in favour for Blu-ray.
Thank god I bought the PS3 for a blu-ray player and not a game system, Kick ass!
