Blast from the past: Dragon's Lair trailer

They don't make games like these anymore. Cinematronics' Dragon's Lair dates back to 1983, when video optical media came on laserdiscs the size of dinner plates. So that must be one one benefit of Digital Leisure rereleasing the classic on Blu-Ray: the media no longer be big enough to eat a steak off from. (Well, that and who still has a laserdisc player to play with?)

Of course, Blu-Ray can hold a heck of a lot more than laserdisc, so the next benefit is that this Dragon's Lairgoes to 1080p. Oh, bullocks for based-from-Playboy-photoshoots Princess Daphne, indeed. They really don't make damsels-in-distress like her anymore.



But aside from the graphics upgrade, it doesn't look like they wanted to change much from the old laserdisc game.

Ahh damn it, I just get my hands on a laserdisc and am looking for the original game and they release it in high quality on blu-ray. Still not buying a PS3 if I can help it
