SanDisk Pro Duo - Image 1

It's time once again for our lovely bargain alert to show consumers the best way to get themselves a good deal. This time, we've found a deal at Fry's that should allow you to grab a new memory stick on the cheap.

According to Fry's, you can grab a SanDisk 4GB Pro Duo memory stick for US$ 59.99. Of course, that's after rebate, but it's still a good deal of homebrew, pictures, music, XMB hacks, C++ code, FHM scans, and funny home videos for you to pack into a little card. It's probably just a tad bit weaker than its US$ 70 compatriot, the SanDisk Ultra II, but it's still a worthwhile buy.

In any case, what are you waiting for, right? Keep checking QJ for more bargain alerts in the coming days.

» Don't trust rebates

I wouldn't trust any mail in rebate if I were you, they often reject them for no reason or even just ignore them.

by DBsummit - 2007-02-26 00:13
» Useless.

Rebates don't count.

» Expensive

That's expensive, Amazon has some sellers that offer 4GB memory sticks for insane prices.

» cheap?

you can get them for $40-$60 on Ebay. I got mine for U.S. $46

by sako - 2007-02-26 10:19
» cheaper

pricegrabber.com has 2gb memory stick for $20.65 and a 4gb for $56.93

» ...

Ya, ....but over 95% of the memory sticks on Ebay are fakes.. I know because I bought a 4GB for $40, and it looked real and everything in the pictures. Got it, and it didn't work at all, and was obviously fake. Luckily, I returned it and got all my money back :)

» Um, no...

I have NEVER had a problem with a rebate...ever. If you actually know how to fill them out and make copies, you'll be fine. I've done over 50 rebates for things in the past couple of years, and I have gotten every single one. I even used the one that was reported on QJ a few months back for purchase of a $29.99 256mb pro duo that had a $30.00 rebate. ... Guess what! Three weeks after sending it in, I had my rebate in my hands and a free memory stick. Yeah, it was only 256mb...but it was FREE! These things DO work...you just have to have some common sense..

» EBAY SUCKS

ebay can rip you off so badly and it not cheaper, the price looks low but you have to pay dilevery which would come up to original price

by MitchenX - 2007-02-26 11:52
» also poor

i'm also poor, so i can't afford this. i've crammed so much into 1 gig, I can't imagine what I'd do with 4!! except carrying a lot more music on me...!

by SWeEt - 2007-02-26 12:18
» You know that article about the free 256 a while back that GaveUpTomorrow was talking about?

I bought that and sent in the rebate and also got a free 256. Sometimes rebates never come, but I think it varies with the area you are in and if you do everything right. This is a pretty good deal. I would jump on this if it were for $50 or less. $60 still seems alittle steap for me.

I been seeing a lot of that I been looking around for a 20$ 2gb ones for my PSP and the shipping on most of them are just ridiculous!

by Banoona - 2007-02-28 08:19
» Wait a little

The price of the 4gb will go down as soon as the 8gb comes out. That's what happened with the 1 gb when the 2gb came out.
