Film distributor 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has announced that they will be releasing a Blu-Ray edition of Sunshine, the sci-fi thriller directed by Danny Boyle, by January 8 next year. What makes this all the more interesting is that the Sunshine's Blu-Ray will feature a picture-in-picture function, which Fox had demonstrated during the recent Blu-ray Festival press event. And while most Blu-Ray players have yet to carry PIP support, Fox senior VP Steve Feldstein stated during the demo that players to be released in the next few months would be PIP-capable. In line with this news, Sony PlayStation 3 owners will want to keep on a lookout for a related firmware update that will enable your console to view PIPs as well.
The Sunshine Blu-Ray disc will hit retail for US$ 40, with its standard DVD release coming out simultaneously at a price of US$ 30.

I'm not into the "I'll buy a cheaper video card and change it next month", lol, I'm more into "I'll buy a good one that's gonna last a while", and especially if the two cards would be priced around the same (BD players are cheaper with the PS3 399$ so it's almost a crime to buy an HDDVD player...)
Anyway, HD DVD is finished. I want place, not better encryption, even if they should combine to form the HD-BD, lol.
