Check out the list of new games that will soon be dropping in your local game shops as well as your favorite digital marketplace as the first week of October rolls in.

Headlining the lineup of new releases for the week of October 2nd to the 8th is Namco Bandai's hard as hell follow up to Demon's Souls, Dark Souls. For basketball fans, 2K Sports latest NBA offering will also be out along with the hotly anticipated console revamp of Crytek's visual masterpiece, Crysis.

Bethesda's latest first person shooter Rage will also be available for those looking for some action. Activision on the other offers a whole new Spidey experience with Spider-man: The Edge of Time.
