Two new videos of Spider-Man: Friend or Foe |
Ó
The first video's pretty much the E3 2007 trailer of the game, and we're introduced to the concept of Spiderman teaming up with some of his worst enemies - namely Doctor Octopus, The Sandman, Green Goblin, and of course the all-time favorite Venom. It's to note that things look more cartoony this time around, with none of the realistic web-slinging and swinging from the previous movie games. Here's hoping they actually got Spidey's original voice actor from the Amazing SpiderMan animated series, eh?
Next up is the Concept and Characters interview video, where we learn about the game's origins - that being, the guys behind the first three games wanted to make a title that the young'uns can pick up and play. We also more about the partner system of the game, and how you're able to switch freely between Spiderman and his current buddy in mid-combat. Very cool, and that lends all sorts of possibilities - maybe even signature team-up attacks unique to every pair?
Spider-Man: Friend or Foe will hit store shelves this fall, and will be available to all consoles and handhelds (PSP, PS3, Xbox 360, DS, Wii). Updates as we get them, in the meantime, enjoy the videos!

It looks like a fantastic title.
Occasionnal gaming is killing serious gaming... sigh
This title is aimed towards kids more than adults. Occasional gamers is what was overlooked in the first place, that why wii is selling like hotcakes.
Most people have jobs you know and don't game mon-thru fri.
He's saying that companies, being only focused on making money, are putting out crap for people who won't know the difference, and it is making it harder to find GOOD games.
I agree. Companies should focus on putting out the best games they can instead of trying to make money. If they put out a good product people will buy it.
P.S. What's up, KHSebastian??
Why is this aimed more at kids? The art style is amazing and IMHO better then the original.
Well this is what we get when a system like the Wii begins to dominate the market. It's created for the casual gamer and the kiddies. Don't get me wrong, it's great that the kids are getting something, but this is the Spiderman game follow up to the crap that was Spiderman 3(the game). The graphics look aweful, and the gameplay doesn't seem interesting at all. Oh well the industry has taken it's bumps before, hopefully developers will stop being lazy and coming up with games like Spiderman Friend or foe:-(
Geez, lighten up! There will always be titles for the "hardcore" but hey this looks neat, I like the idea of the friend or foe twist at best of all it looks FUN, hey, what a concept!
Venom was so funny in Activisions PS1 game
No, you're wrong..
you will stop posting...
NO, NO, NO!!!!! What about Spiderman 3 ?!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOO!!!
looks like more garbage...another kids game to flood the wii game stand, it makes me sad :(
