Name: Star Fox DS (Tentative Title)
Format:
Nintendo DS™
Launch Date: Aug. 28, 2006
ESRB: RP (Rating Pending)
Game Type: Sci-Fi Space Shooter
Accessories: TBA
Players: 1-8 via DS Local Wireless and DS Download Play, 1-4 on Nintendo® Wi-Fi Connection
Developer: Q-Games/Nintendo

Star Fox DS will take gamers back to the series' roots of space shooting in the Lylat System. The 3D game will allow you to go through branching paths like in past Star Fox classics. Nintendo has a great use for the touchscreen too.

"Star Fox DS brings a whole new strategic element to the series with a commanderÂ’s view of the mission. Using the touch screen, players can draw the routes they and their teammates will take, then battle the enemies they encounter as they take over bases and strategically advance across the map."

Not only that, the game will feature 8 player dogfights using the wireless multiplayer - both Multi Card and Download Play. You can even use the Nintendo WiFi Connection for four player fights. After the bad taste the last few games left in gamers' mouths, this title just might be what people have been asking for.
