Phoenix Wright Sequel Named and Detailed |

Yesterday, we brought to you the information that Phoenix Wright would be receiving a sequel this fall. Today, we have more details. Phoenix Wright: Justice For All will be hitting the DS in the first quarter of 2007, not October as announced before. The game will be an English translation of Gyakuten Saiban 4. You will again be Phoenix Wright, the defence lawyer who must collect evidence, examine witnesses, and analyze testimonies. After the tremendous praise and word-of-mouth recommendation of the first game, this second will surely do better. Here is Capcom's official fact sheet about the upcoming game:
• Play from the first person perspective through four shocking new cases
• Two distinct gameplay segments:
o Investigation phase – survey crime scenes, interview witnesses and gather evidence that will be used in court
o
Court phase – present findings from the investigation to support your
case, listen to testimonies, examine witnesses, and determine what is
fact from fiction so you can prove your clientÂ’s innocence
• New life bar represents Phoenix’s status in court – by presenting incorrect evidence or following misguided attempts to break Psyche-Locks, Phoenix’s life bar will go down; the only way to regain this stat is to successfully open a witness’s Psyche-Lock
• Use the DS touch screen to navigate the game’s interface and become deeply involved in court room proceedings by using the microphone to yell “Objection,” “Take that” and more!
• Colorful cast of characters include both new and familiar faces
o Phoenix Wright – the game’s main character who is a defense lawyer with a keen sense for discerning fact from truth
o
Franziska von Karma – the new D.A. and daughter of former adversary,
Manfred von Karma, is on the warpath to take Phoenix down and avenge
her father by any means necessary
o Maya Fey – having honed her
psychic powers, she is now a mystic of the Kurain Channeling Technique
and will continue to be a valuable ally for Phoenix in his trials
o Pearl Fey – Maya’s cousin is an up and coming psychic herself and looks up to her as a role model

It's an English translation of Gyakuten Saiban 2, not 4!! Franziska (Mei) Von Karma is only present in GS2, and besides, Phoenix Wright won't be the main character in GS4 anyway.
Where did QJ get this bogus info?!
Oops, sorry. I'll fix that up now.
Can anyone tell me if Edgeworth and Detective Gumshoe are in this one?
I'm a little disappointed there are only 4 cases, I hope they are long ones like the last two from the first PW game. I hope they've added that 3D evidence examining from the last case to all of these cases as well! :)
2 days later, and the post still refers to this as a translation of GS4. Don't feel bad, though. I don't think any other site has it right either.
