Rumor broke out a few days ago that Microsoft's E3 '07 line-up leaked. Among other eyebrow-raisers, an entry stood out. Having Gears of War 2 on the list made quite a fuzz; many were overjoyed, while others skeptic. As usual, Mark Rein was quick on the trigger and debunked the lies.
Fansite Beyond Unreal claims to have received word from Mark Rein, saying "We are not announcing a sequel to Gears of War at E3 this year. Did you see the update we just did for Gears of War last week? We're still working on the first one."
Well, there goes all our hopes down the drain. Look on the bright side - current owners of Gears of War are getting full support, making the most out of their money. Why need a sequel when the original is giving us one heck of a ride?
