Kratos - 300 - This is E3! - Image 1

Reports have arrived straight from Cannes, France, where they're currently having their little Interactive & Digital Entertainment Festival (IDEF) party. Sony's part of the event, and in it, they supposedly (enter stage left: the ubiquitous Rumor label) announced that God of War III will be jumping onto this year's E3 bandwagon.

While we can't find any more confirmation other than the French website that first broke the news, Sony's already announced their lineup of games they'll be taking to the event (with Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, and Resistance 2 in tow, baby!). Of course, in their announced line up, GoW3 was excluded from the list. Was it meant to be a surprise for everyone at E3?

If this new development about Kratos arriving in E3 does hold out to be true, then by the gods titans!, it's going to be one hot event. Chances are, the game will just be presented - like maybe in the form of a teaser trailer, perhaps? - but we can still hope that there'd actually be a developer walkthrough; maybe even a playable demo of God of War 3 itself.

Well, despite all the bad press that ESA seems to be getting after all those other developers leaving the association (with some of them even pulling out of the E3 event), it looks like Sony's putting up quite a show this year.

» Uh...Ok.

You should put RUMOR in the title. It said it's supposedly announced and the only source is a French website.

In any case, I can't wait for this game. I like the God of War games (except for the PSP version, that one sucked).

» Kewl......

This is Sony's greatest franchise this easily stomps MGS in story and gameplay. I can't wait to get it. This is the reason I got my ps3.

» huh?

Me and alot of other people Disagree. God of war is a good game but it doesnt compare to the MGS series.

It's high on the Playstation Franchise list but not first.

» Stomps?

I give kratos his credit. I have all the games and enjoy the series. but I still like MGS more. MGS started a genere that has yet to be sucessfully acheved anywhere else. The gamplay isn't for everyone. Most people much rather run around mashing buttons.

» to each their own

you can't really compare the 2, they are 2 different genres, it's like comparing WoW to Final Fantasy or Gears of War to Devil May Cry. Anyway, really hope GoW3 is worthy of the name. If it is at E3, along with a few other choice titles, Sony will completely own the show

» i disagree

i like MGS more.

» The PSP version was kick ass!

What do you mean it sucked? The only thing that sucked about it was the game ended too early.

by psn_gamestar - 2008-06-25 13:20
» got here late

but yea every one already said it

» Um...

Its common sense thats its a rumor, there's no need to put rumor on every article.

Also Chain of Olympus was freaking awesome, for a PSP game, it ended in terms of Length just as I expected.
