FFlogoLet's admit it, Final Fantasy is a classic. With 12 core titles ever since its launch in 1987, the game is considered the origin of signature series features such as the job system and class changing.

Final Fantasy revolves around the Legend of the Light. The legend assures generation to generation that the world would remain safe as long as the Crystals of Earth, Fire, Water, and Wind maintain their brilliance. Should the Crystals lose their light - causing the skies to blacken, the lands to wither, the seas to rage, and the volcanoes to erupt in a flurry of lava – the four Warriors of Light will come and save the world.

Now you can take the story of the Warriors of Light everywhere. Square Enix is bringing this RPG to your mobile phones. The mobile phone version of Final Fantasy contains an epic storyline that stays true to the original FF release. It will contain an intuitive turn-based game play.

Final Fantasy goes to you mobile phone later this year.

pardon my ignorance, but does this mean FF will be ported to java so it can run on almost any phone? or will it be available only on a limited number of phones with the right capabilities?
