A few things quickly stand out - the "zombies" you'll be fighting against will not only fight in massive crowds, but they will also be quick on their feet. They will also try to grapple Chris every opportunity they get - and from what we saw, it's pretty much more of an effort to throw you down into a more vulnerable position rather than the hug-and-nibble kind that we're used to. Very scary, and very cool.

There's nothing more that I love in RE than the death animations.
This game is going to rock, I cant wait for this to come out, as well as Umbrella Chronicles. Resident Evil is an awesome series

Weren't we told that this one was going to go back to zombies? Why does Chris look like Duke Nukem all of a sudden? Do they ever plan to clear up all the unanswered questions with the story?
RE4 was a good game, although probably my least favorite RE, and this just looks like a rehash in Africa instead of Spain. Have they given up making horror games and decided to make them action instead?

i think the same thing maybe if this were another game an not resident evil game it would be a great game but is not R E i even preferred the beta game of resident evil 4 more than the actual game
Capcom still decided to keep the RE4 gameplay, expect in Africa this time. I got to admit the graphics are great but I been more of the SH fan, this look somewhat darker then RE4 but doesn't give the you that feeling of being scared when playing alone at night like SH does.
lol favourite part= when he puches the zombie down lol , and that jump in the end looked weird, and it seems this time we won't be getting a laser, let alone a rectile, well it looks pretty intense, too bad I won't be getting it.

Are people saying its just RE4 in Africa because of the controls? Does anyone actually remember how bad the control scheme used to be pre-RE4? Sure the games were great, but the controls were frustratingly rubish.
sure the pre-RE4 controls were frustrating, but that added to the games charm, and made it a hell of a lot scarier, because if a zombie came at you at an odd angle you were more vurnerable. I agree RE4 was less scary that its predecessors, but I loved RE4. I just think of it as a completely new series starting with RE4. THe pre-RE4 games tied together better. RE4 marked a split in elements of the reality of the series. The RE4 bosses were like something out of a bad superhero movie, making it fun to play, but a stretch from the bosses we were used to in the earlier games. And our hero, bared very little resemblence to the Leon of RE2. And now Chris looks completely different (Duke Nukem- HA!) Its not just the way the look, but the way they act too. Plus Capcom needs to develop their characters a little more. What the hell happened to Leon after RE2??!! And are they ever gonna try to work in the elements of Code Veronica??!!, a great game, vastly under appreciated. I was disappointed as a life long RE fan, but impressed by RE4 as a stand alone game. It looks like RE5 will follow the path of RE4, I hope those story lines at least stick together.
I agree. If you want a real zombie game, get Dead Rising. I personally found that a better zombie game than any of the REs (including RE2 which was the best of the series)
Code Veronica ruled. It takes a very very very close second only to RE2 in my list.
