E3 pulses new WipEout Pulse screenies |
Ó
Come now, did you think that Sony would forget about the highly anticipated WipEout Pulse? After they've placed the fans and the community at the brunt of WipEout Pulse's direction in content, the fast-paced classic and successor to the PSP's WipEout Pure stayed a little behind at the news updates department.
WipEout Pulse is still go for September, and these new screens released show how much progress Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has achieved after all this time. They've dropped screenshot bombshell after screenshot bombshell since late June and it appears their antics hasn't changed for E3 Media & Business Summit.
Still, with eight gameplay modes, a new soundtrack spun by DJ masters, and a tougher AI promised just for the hardcore WipEout pilots, this game is still significantly high on our must-buy wish-list. So soak these visuals in and hope the optical pleasure lasts you 'till release day. We mean, heck, just take a gander at that rocket salvo.

lol
i played the promo and must say:
- the gameplay look very promising, tracks are beautyful!
- music is ok!
- gameplay is the almost the same
- interface and design is crap... once w.o. looked like a futuristic game, a game which came from future, this was mainly because of it's great design. the last version looks like a "normal" game of 2007 with boring interfaces. even the box of the game looke special in w.o. 2097
The most impressive thing about the new wipeout game are the tracks themselves. The tracks on the last wipeout game mostly felt too flat to me, like I was just going around a circle or an oval. But the tracks on the promo UMD are much more interesting in Pulse. The music is great as always, but the fast pulse laser tends to blind you when you shoot someone ahead of you, and it also can hurt the framerate. I wish they would have addressed at least the graphical blindingness of it.
same crappy game
hey i downloaded this game from a web site already and i must say it is very B.E.A.UTIFUL. the tracks are the most impressive thing about it.
