looks like resistance v1.1 to me. not even bette than gears. textures up close are crap. the barbwire shows it. character models and death animations look great though, definitely better than gears in that respect. and you can't compare halo 3, it's an entirely different art style. both games look more than good enough.

Just seen this for the first time and too be honest, this just looks OK. If it wasn't Killzone, I doubt many would get excited over that footage, or the gameplay footage seen in the trailer. Realtime cutscenes look great though.

if you mean the PC UT3 that was shown then thats looks great...ofcourse it was probably running on a dual Geforce 8800 machine



many are making the mistake thinking that the UT3 trailer is the console version....thats the PC version its obvious from the game speed



and try watching the trailer in HD....this game is running at 1080P

apparently the game is running at 1080P....and the framerate is very smooth even for an alpha build



however this section of the game is very slow and the guy keep pressing the button.....hopefully a more intense one will be available

This game looks nothing like Resistance......and in Gears its totally different..you can only compare this game with FPS!!! games...this game has more movement,AWESOM E game but there still alot of another great games.

As the xbot i am its hard for me to say this its better than gears of war but slightly worse than crysis and u other xbots just shut up and admit its better than gow bcuz if GAMESPOT can damn it u can

Like many other websites, they are impressed, but of the graphics overall they say "The visuals are extremely impressive and rank among the best we've seen on the hardware to date."



AMONG the best, i.e. as good as the best seen elsewhere on the PS3, also, no mention of Gears of War in that preview btw.

Noone is talking about how Master Chief lost some resolution since last year. In the MOVIE we saw last year Master Chief looked great. In the gameplay trailer from E3 he looks very average. But all the xbots want to down killzone 2. 1st GeoW only looks good if you look at nothing but the main character, the backgrounds are hazy, the textures are nothing special. 2nd everyone talks about killzone but MGS4 and Uncharted look better right now than anything on the 360 or anything they announced for the 360.

i played gears of war last nite n with people on here saying its better than killzone (graphically) i was expecting it to be, however i was left dissapointed because all the kilzone video from e3 ive seen is simply better than gears. the blood in gears pissed me off too, i guess they couldnt try to make it look real so they purposely made it look fake.

p.s. hopefully we as consumers can get the best out of this halo v kilzone competition!

IMO, the gameplay graphics of Killzone look more comparible to COD4 in terms of style and detail. And just as you criticise the blood in GeOW, other gamers can criticise the low res textures seen in Killzone 2. We can find faults in the graphics in every game ever made, so it seems you're nit picking at GeOW to suggest it's not as impressive as some say (I do respect your opinion, but that's the way it looks to me).



The fact is, there are plus and minuses for both games, but in the end, it's all down to personal preference. Even last gen, despite all the flaws, there were gamers who preferred the 'grittier' graphics of Killzone over the brighter graphics of Halo.

The animations look good, ill give it that. But seriously, this looks very lack luster, and IMO not even close to the E32K7 (New) trailer. Very disapointed.
