E3 2009: Eye-tearin' God of War III Virtual Booth Tour video |
Ó
You've seen Kratos fight off that big horned-snake tailed thing (as Glenn describes it) at God of War III's gameplay footage from the E3 2009 yesterday. However, you did not see Kratos tearing out the eye of a cyclops from their Virtual Booth Tour. Oh, yes, that's because Sony did NOT show that during their press conference.
How about that, huh? A Virtual Booth Tour indeed. For their first offering, Jeff Rubenstein shared with us this God of War III demo, with Combat Designer Adam Puhl guiding us throughout the gameplay.
Can't wait to see that eye-tearing moment? Hit the play button and wait for the 1:27 mark. You gotta love that slow-mo touch they added just at that right time.

It's freaking awesome. I want it now.
GIEF lol
that was epic. No doubt.
But it seems a bit much. I don't want to kill good guys (Helios is a good guy, i believe). He's lying on the floor helpless trying to recover, and Kratos comes and mercilessly rips his head off. Its so gruesome as he's trying to resist that it makes me cringe. I get it, Kratos is a bad guy, but you dont have to disgust me to get that across! It prolly wouldn't have been so bad if Helios wasnt so helpless.
Everything you just said makes me want the game even more! I don't get disgusted.
BTW Sting, rent " Faces of death", you'll feel more "alive"?
He's working for Zeus, the gods entirely are against Kratos. This game is about revenge to the gods, makes no sense to no kill Helios tbh.
Killing Helios is required to continue through the game. There's new places to be had and new secrets that only a god can see, using his head kratos can now see the hidden doors or secrets and continue to his wrath. Not to mention he seems helpless cause the titan grabbed him, in a fist and threw him against the wall.
The Zipper technology which is responsible for the higher blood splatter and intestines coming out shows off the true image of god of war and how it depicts greek mythology. All the games has had some gruesome finishers. This was has been stated from before it's going to be more gruesome than ever.
