Graphically enhanced Helghast troopers? Pfft - that's old news. Over at the E3, id Software has just unveiled the debut trailer for their latest FPS offering many a gamer will certainly recognize: Wolfenstein.

It's a short clip at only 20 seconds, but it's more than enough to give us a sneak peek of the sort of new gear and opposition you'll get to play with. Keep an eye out for the Tesla gun and the rocket man. The Tesla gun in particular looks like it'll be usable, though the rocket pack is definitely something we'll want to try out too, provided it's also usable.

Sadly, Hitler wasn't around in the video, though it will feature plenty of storm trooper pwnage. Wolfenstein is currently slated for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms. Enjoy the clip, and visit again in case we receive any more information regarding this update.

» hmm...

To be honest this video doesn't really excite me about this new Next-Gen Wolfenstein. From my first impressions it seems that ID Software is just going to saturate the mark for FPS's. I loved the original Wolfenstein, for the moment, I'll just keep playing the original through my PSP on a GBA emulator. Still, I have a final word of this when we see more.

I have a feeling that this is gonna be one of those games that is either *****ING MIND BLOWINGLY AWESOME, or the biggest piece of ***** you've ever seen.

Anyway,

soon we will see.

Please don't let us down ID Software, this COULD be a very good title indeed (or not).

I'm not making any final judgements yet.

GBA Emulation? I didn't realize the game had been ported to the GBA; I wonder how true that is to the original game.
