Over at this year's E3, Ubisoft has released a new video of their upcoming Prince of Persia title for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC platforms. The clip will provide for more glimpses of how your new partner, Elika, will handle in combat.

Aerial ballet is an understatement in this case, with Elika jumping in at well-timed moments to unleash some painful-looking magical smackdowns on your enemy. You'll still be in the spotlight of course, but your partner definitely merits some attention of her own.

One other visual tweak that's been introduced is the cell shading. While it's unclear if this will be how the game's final build will look, admittedly, I do hope it is. Aside from adding subtle hints of storybook flair, it does make the whole thing look like an anime. The new Prince of Persia trailer is available for your viewing pleasure below.

» WTF!?!?!?!?!

This is looking better and better. I love the "cell" look to it. I'm already sold!

» I hope that they borrow climbing from Assassin's Creed

Please let it be a bit free roaming in terms of exploring. Old PoP are cool but the climbing is always a rail and if you don't follow the fixed path you are not likely gonna make it.

Yuck, this trailer made me less excited for it. I hate cell-shading in games and some of the movements (I really only noticed two, but come on in the trailer) didn't seem so 'smooth'
