No Fable 2 demo, says Molyneux - Image 1

Those of you who were looking forward to a taste of Fable 2 before its big release may have to live with a little bit of disappointment before the game's actual release. At E3 2008, Peter Molyneux revealed to videogamer.com that there wouldn't be a demo for the game.

To quote Molyneux,

No. I hate demos. What either happens, is you either make a demo that people think is too short or, you know, is too confusing. There are a million reasons why they go wrong, very few reasons why they go right. What was the last great demo that you played and then went out and bought the game?

If Molyneux isn't too keen on making a demo, there's a pretty good chance that a demo won't be made for his game. In any event, you can still get by with those pub games that are on Xbox Live, if you're looking for a taste of Fable 2.

hmm lets see

blue dragon would probably be the last game i did that with... full auto, saints row, crackdown, dead rising, harry potter OotP, fight night R3, a few XBLA games... most of my purchases on the 360 have followed a demo. i can understand why he doesn't like them, he tends to over promise and under deliver. if there were a demo for fable 1, i might not of bought it. fable failed to live up to the hype peter was spewing about it when it was titled Project Ego. it was still a good game, but when you hype it so much you can't deliver on the hype, it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. this guy should go work for sony, he'd fit right in.
