Fable 2 - Image 1Those who are itching for more Fable 2 news from Lionhead Studios (can't get enough of the past E3 announcements on Fable 2, eh?) will be either disappointed or forgiving with the latest tidbit that we managed to scrounge up.

Apparently, Fable 2's main quest will be about 12 hours long - that's without delving into the side quests, wooing, and other gameplay aspects present in the RPG. The information was revealed by Lionhead employees (not one, but many of them).

12 hours on a role-playing game? While the news may seem disheartening at first glance, we should remember that the game has many things going for it aside from the main storyline: gambling, wooing your prospective partner, raising a family, getting and creating henchmen, and yes, taking care of your pet dog.

# Novel or short story?Xastabus 2008-07-18 02:27
Hmm... I'm not sure trading a longer story for "stuff-to-do" is a terribly good idea.

Take "Crackdown" for instance. Lots to explore, lots to do, but the story was pretty short and shallow.

IMO, side quests, romancing, mini-games, etc... these things should provide breaks from the main story as the player sees fit, not be a replacement for a shorter main story.

I'm still going to pick this up when it comes out, but I'm a bit let down that the main story won't be so epic.

12hrs is a good length.

sometimes i think people lose sight of the fact that not everyone is an anti-social game player, or a school kid with nothing better to do.

not everyone has 24+ hrs in a given week to play games...

Your comments are retarded on so many levels. Apparently you have such a short attention span that you have to finish every game you buy in the first week. Holy *****.
