Hold the waterworks. We know that Hideo Kojima's E3 statement could put anyone to tears, but there is something you have to see first. Since one can't be as cunning as Kojima himself, foreshadowing should be futile to fans aching for the trailer everyone is talking about.
Let's get straight to the point. What we have here is none other than the biggest crowd pleaser Sony could ever wish for, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots' "trailer" which Kojima stressed out to be the actual game itself.
Liquid is back, and he's no mere arm of Shalashaska. We're still curious what happened to that gun-slinging Ocelot, but who's to complain when an arch-nemesis of epic proportions makes a comeback after you kicked his ass on top of Metal Gear Rex?
Meryl is now far beyond a rookie that Snake branded her, even spearheading an army towards Liquid. Unfortunately, the old guy still has enough magic under his sleeves to drive the soldiers insane.
Of course, an MGS4 trailer will not be complete without Raiden. Vamp faces him after cheating on death once again, most likely seeking revenge against the man who almost killed him. Over-the-top action follows, as we all know that Kojima plans to turn Raiden into a memorable character by making him as bad ass as possible.
Let's not spoil any further and just jump into it. Enjoy the eye candy below.

Well,this video just make me sell my wii and get ps3 ^^ i love MGS with a passion
i have to admit that i haven't played a single Metal Gear game.. it's just that in a series if i'm not able to start it then i won't pick it up from the middle that's why i've been skipping it... it isn't actually one of the games on my mind when i was lining up during the PS3 launch...
i might get this game though just to see why the XBots want it so bad (if they haven't been been so desperate for this game i probably would skip it again).... so Kojima-san count me in.
i'll probably be finished playing Heavenly Sword, Rachet and Clank, Haze, Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, and Assassins Creed come March next year anyway.
i dont think a game can look any more better than this. I hope. i hope the physics in this game is good cause thats the only thing that wouldn't be perfect in this game

WTF? in this trailer it says its an early 2008 release? WTF Am I the ONLY one who remembers that in the rereleased and re-rendered E3 trailer it specifically said 2007 release? WTF is up with that?
Yep after having two of my 360s' break on me, and only have people on gears of war, i'm switching to Sony ps3.Yeah i wanted want a launch just didn't get one of those limited reserve spots.But finally tomorrow i will be a proud ps3 owner.

Anyone else getting a slightly homo-erotic vibe between raiden and vamp? Remember how in MGS2 they said vamp was bi? Did you see the shots of when raiden thrust his sword through vamp...then vamp grabbed it and pulled him in deeper? 0_0... then as they both look up, raiden is holding on to vamps arm? Then, at the end, their faces look so close they could kiss? Look at the body language. I think the big surprise we are in for is.... RAIDEN IS ACTUALLY GAY ... and he's going to have to kill vamp...
Its pretty gay on Vamps part to push da sword deeper but.. Raiden officially became 2 kool to be gay

Overall it looks ok the hair on all of them seemed stiff and some of the effects and colors ingame looked ok but its a game that wont make me buy the ps3
I'd have to say that is your loss Quixand. For me that would leave out GTA, Gran Turismo, Metal Gear (Never played the Sega:MS version) and a number of other great games.
The Metal Gear games stand very well on their own, aside from some in jokes about cardboard boxes.
Are graphics the only thing you look for in a game? That's so...narrow and close minded. The MGS series is known throughout the entire gaming society for it's amazing plot and gameplay. Just saying you're only going to get a game for it's graphics is like saying that you're only going to buy a book because it's cover looks pretty.
There's a crapload more to a game than just graphics, you've got to appreciate the whole package. Any real gamer will tell you that.

Raiden's character seemed to "bi*tchy" in MGS2. But he is a bad ass now. lol, on the Vamp thing it did look like he was grinding on Raiden but I think Raiden was pushing the sword in more and Vamp was trying to "pull out".
If they continue to make the cut scenes look exactly like the gameplay, like they have in the first three games, then this game will be epic beyond words.
