Alan WakeAlan Wake, Remedy Entertainment’s psychological action thriller for the Xbox 360 set in a small town in Washington, will not make an appearance at next month’s E3. According to the company, they would rather stay in Finland and work on the game than be distracted by the giant media event. Alan Wake, is the story of best-selling horror writer who pens a novel about his darkest nightmares which come to life to haunt him. “The game features a massive, open world for the players to explore," according to its makers who also gave us the hit title Max Payne.

Remedy Entertainment already has the goods to show off now. In fact, they were at last year’s E3 with Alan Wake video footages that earned red hot reviews from gawking critics. This year they want to polish it some more and do it right the first time. When they said they were “going to retreat behind closed doors, take the phones off the hook, and get back to hard work… keep the focus on the development of the game" at last year's E3 they weren’t kidding! We call this the Not-The-Microsoft-Way Strategy.
