At QJ we're always trying to provide you guys with the best gaming and tech news from across the web in one easy to access place (with a touch of the ol' QJ wit of course). We're a community here at QJ and respect you folks far too much to half ass it or give anything less than 100%. It's because of this we've decided focus our coverage in a number of core areas and postpone our coverage in certain areas for the foreseeable future. The other blogs aren't going away so much as they're just going on hiatus, they could be back at some point in the future but only when we're 100% sure we can provide the level of quality you folks deserve. That said, we're looking to redouble our efforts in the following areas and give you guys the latest news/rumors and info.

There was a PC blog?! :(
QJ must be hurting for money then. If they lay off all those people who blog those sections they save a ton of money. PSPUpdates should have just stayed independent and not get bought up by QJ. I've been with PSPUpdates since day one when it was just a little blog on blogspot.com. I even signed up with the forums when they were finally up and running! I wish QJ would do something for us who have been around since the beginning.

I should state that this has little to do with money, and more to do with keeping up the quality of the content we provide.
Well you never know. Sometimes companies won't "reveal the true reason" but if it's for quality than I'm all for it. This site is great and without PSPUpdates the homebrew scene never would have made it. I remember waiting for days, after getting my launch PSP, for the 1.50 homebrew program the Kswitch or something like that. I was so excited about that because the SNES emulator came out around the same time and I was blown away. I'll be sticking with PSPUpdates as long as this site is up. I've been here for 3 years and I hope things keep growing. I also used to work for this site as well, but for some reason I was afraid to put my humor in my entries and the boss (Jake I believe I don't know) said they weren't spunky enough for the site. I wish I could try again maybe a writer for the site who reads this and talk to the head guy about that.
As was stated above, I did enjoy the science blog but I can live without.
On a related note, does this change mean we\'ll see new articles on weekends again? The last few have been dead; not even any QuickPeeks. :(
I'm happy about this move... I know for about a week there, PSP Updates was dead... nothing new at all and I was wondering what was going on... Maybe now the PSP Blog will be right on the edge of things instead of a few days behind.

Like the check-mark of remember me only hold like 1 day which it piss's me off.
What I'd like is a daily/weekly changing of the poll. That poll has been there for like 2 months I think the site devs forgot about that poll.

Ivory_soul, you're right, Jake used to run editorial here at QJ, but he's since moved on to other projects, I've since taken over as senior editor.
With regards to writing for QJ, I'll say keep a weather eye open. ;)

instead of stars on our comments how about Jumps? or youtube thumbs, the lowest thumbs, the comments hide.
Also Blog of Blogs Settings you gotta edit that as well for the new iphone section.

That sucks! I enjoyed the science blog, gadgets blog and the pc blog. There were some interesting things I liked to see on those. Hell I even from time to time liked to check out the mobile blog. I am very sad to see these go. I guess that's what happens if they don't get enough hits.
These are some of my favorite sites to go to. It's almost like a good friend saying there is no reason to live anymore and then going and committing suicide. ¦:(

i'm glad to see in particularly the science section being taken out. Lots of *non-science* related articles were being written in there anyways.
They leave on MMORPG and MyQJ but put down blogs much more important like Science and PC? This is just too much.
