Sir Paul McCartney: The Beatles happening soon at iTunes

The Beatles - Image 1It may have taken a long and winding road but Sir Paul McCartney is confident that the Beatles will finally be available for download on Apple, Inc.'s online store iTunes anytime soon.

No release date has been handed out by Apple Corps, the namesake Beatles label but  the deal is almost good to go this year, says McCartney. With a back catalogue estimated at a jaw-dropping GBP 300 million (US$ 600 million, more or less), yesterday won't seem so far away for Beatlemaniacs as they will be treated with hits from albums Help, Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and The White Album.

McCartney has already made his solo iTunes debut back in May, but four decades of Fab Four fandom will always make the Beatles a bigger hit. Odds are now being thrown around about which Beatles hit will top the download charts with bookmakers tagging Yesterday, Hey Jude, and Love Me Do as favorites.

What's in it for those who already have the Beatles' complete discography, you might ask? These tracks are now remastered for the digital age. The richness in sound is really something every mop top-loving fan should look forward to.
