Ever-expanding and challenging the technology and innovations catering to the music industry, iPOD creator, Apple, has been Beta testing its newest program on iTunes, "Just For You". This is a new program that aims to aid music buyers in choosing their purchase. Basically, it is an automated "suggestion box" that will suggest to the buyer what other music they might want to have, based on the purchase that they made. By simply logging on to iTunes music store, you will then be able to view the suggested songs and albums.
While interesting, it must be said that the results may not necessarily be accurate. After all, its manner of choosing other music that you may want to listen to is not based on its personal knowledge of your taste or personality. Simply, it sort of links together music that may have something in common, such as their genre. So, if for example, you buy an album of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, it might then suggest that you also get Foo Fighters, solely based on the principle that they have uptempo alternative beats.
But although the results may sometimes turn out to be unexpected, even far-off, "Just For You" is still a great way to expand your musical horizons. You never know just what treasure it might turn up for you.
