iPod Thief, "But I just needed some cables."

Adrian Smith, a manager at an Apple reseller in England, had his iPod stolen from his car at the weekend. This kind of crime is on the rise, and I'm sure anyone who owns an iPod, or any precious gadget will know, it's not nice when someone takes your pride and joy away from you. Fortunately for Smith, this situation would brighten up when he went into work.

The thief that had stolen his iPod walked into Smith's shop the next day, and asked him for cables for the familiar-looking iPod. Smart-thinking Smith told the man he'd have to try different cables. After plugging the iPod into the Mac, it cam up as 'Adrian's iPod' straight away. Smith then told the illegitimate customer to wait whilst he checks the iPod out further, and Smith's staff kept the thief occupied. Smith called the police, who realised the man fitted the description Adrian had given when he reported his iPod stolen, and arrested the man. Well done Adrian!
