Gears of War, Unreal Tournament 3 to be released on Mac |

Apparently, UT3 on the Mac has already been announced before on online forums, so this just makes the claim all the more formal. This is the first time that Gears of War, developed with the same Unreal Engine that powers UT3, has been announced on the Mac though.
UT3 has been announced to be a timed exclusive for the PS3, simultaneous release on the PC, and will soon come to the Xbox 360. Gears of War will be sticking with the 360 and the PC, at least until the Mac Version comes out.

Yes, because we all know that gaming on the PC and Mac is so cheap and easy. Who needs a 360 or PS3 when you have a PC. *rolleyes*
Last gen, many console exclusives were also released on the PC.
This gen, with the higher cost of game developement, it will happen even more, which is why so many game series which were associated with the PS2 last gen are now coming to the 360 (GTA, DMC, VF etc). So what does that mean, that 360 gamers should say they're glad they don't own a PS3 because so many exclusives are now coming to the 360? That's not the attitude of a gamer, that's the attitude of a fanboy.
Porting Gears of War to the PC and Mac is a great idea (like GTA4, DMC4, RE5, VF5 etc on the 360). It will bring in more profits for Epic (to be invested in future games) and will get more gamers interested in GeOW and a probable sequel.
So when it comes to Gears of War 2, if Microsoft can secure exclusivity for the game (even if it's a timed exclusive), more gamers will be interested in getting a 360 just to play it, despite knowing a PC/Mac version is likely a year or so later.
We'll see.

But yeah, it is just a commercial. Companies don't hate each other just because they want you to buy their product and not the other's.
