RE: Degeneration ships over 1.5 Million copies on Blu-ray, DVD, UMD |
Ó
If you weren't able to catch Resident Evil: Degeneration when it was shown in theaters, there's about half a million copies floating around - and yes, that's worldwide.Via press release, Capcom has announced that they've shipped over 1.5 million copies of the full-length CG-animated movie across the globe. Though they didn't give the breakdown, this total figure combines the release of the Blu-ray, DVD, and UMD versions of the movie.
Now I've been hearing some flak about the movie - some people calling it "a very, very long CG custcene from a game." Well, to each their own. Not that calling it an extended cutscene is altogether a bad thing. I enjoyed it, at the very least. Pretty fun, actually - well worth it indeed. And damn, I gotta love that RE inside joke when Claire defends herself with a red and white umbrella.
Besides, if you're getting Resident Evil 5 for the PS3 and Xbox 360 next week (Whoa, it's next week already?!), the movie sort of establishes TriCell Pharmaceutical.

I agree. I liked it as well. Can't say it was worth the blueray price but...whatever.
Least it actually felt like proper Resident Evil, unlike those crappy live action movies. Was pretty decent.
This movie f****** sucked so badly. Definitely not worth anyone's time. Story sucks and Tri-Cell barely makes an appearance so it doesn't really establish any sort of connection to RE5.
yeah, not like the movie where she get some sort of psychic powers...
The movie was pretty garbage. It was just boring to watch, but as a RE fan, I think it was much better than the butchered live-action films.
Im sorry but this movie was boring. I fell alseep at least twice on my first sit through. Halfway through the second I just got tired and turned my DVD off. Say what you will about the live action movies, but at least they kept me entertained with the action. Sure it doesnt follow the game, but not all movies that follow the games closely are good (Mortal Kombat Annihilation?)
wouldnt say it sucked to badly, but it wasnt good....it just wasnt.
That last part when her brother is all shot up with the Virus and hanging on to her leg, as she hangs on to our good sir, as he hangs on to a little ledge thingy........
lol wtf, shouldnt he be hella heavy by then? neither of the two were even struggling to keep a grip...i totally lol'd at this part
RE:D - sells 1.5million on dvd/blu-ray and 3 on umd... 2 of which were returned when the customers realized that they weren't dvds.
