New Killzone: Liberation Gameplay Videos

Killzone: Liberation

Picking up immediately after the events that unfolded in the first Killzone game, Killzone: Liberation lets players reprise the role of Jan Templar. This time, Templar and his team are on a covert operation to rescue hostages being held captive by a ruthless Helghast general by the name of Mertac.

Those expecting gameplay similar to the original Killzone are in for a surprise. This time around, Killzone: Liberation will take on a more tactical approach, utilizing a pseudo-isometric top-down third-person view. Fans of the first one needn't worry though - this is still very much an action game, albeit one with more depth and tactical management than most straightforward shooters.

Check out these gameplay videos and see for yourselves.

Wow, the game is looking amazing. It doesn't even look like a PSP game. Far beyond that. Can't wait this!

And to number #3, shut up. There is no need for you to cry about the fact that Killzone: Liberation is looking awesome.

# The fun thing is...Guest 2006-08-03 20:23
that most people that usually give negative comments about Killzone (which is ok) usually end up being Halo-fanboys.

Do we get surprised? Absolutely not, because Halo is and was the only FPS game they played.

Looks fine to me. Killzone was a very good game. I've not played Halo online and saw my first peek of it recently... Now I know that jumping looks silly in shooting games (how many UN troops do you see bouncing around in Iraq?) but those Halo players just look like idiots.

Good on Killzone for not being able to jump! Good on Guerilla for trying something different on the PSP! And bad on everyone who's comparing this game to PC or Xbox shooters. lol!

All I have to say is, halo, halo 2, half life 1 &2. Killzone isn't even in the same league as those games and never will be.

Halo and Halo 2 aren't revolutionary. They are just normal FPS games. Sure, they are good, nothing wrong with them, but you have to admit that they are overrated.

Killzone is ok. While it could be boring at certain times and had it's flaws it was still worth playing, at least worth giving a try. Killzone is also one of the few FPS games worth buying at all for the PS2.

1 more thing, you can't compare Killzone to Halo at all actually. The Xbox is a stronger and more powerful console then the PS2. I mean, Killzone could have turned out to be a huge hit, if it was for example made for the Xbox.

And if we are going to talk about PC......well most guys here knows that the best FPS games are only avaible on PC and are only worth playing on PC. FPS on PC is simply 1000 times better then on a console.

So to make this simple

Killzone: A good game

Halo 1 & 2: Good games

PC FPS games: Great games

# Why? I keep wondering why?Guest 2006-08-05 00:40
Im not fan neither of Halo or Killzone, I just like First Person Shooters no matter what franchise (as long as it is well done). But I keep wondering myself why do we PSP owners have to suffer the companies trying NOT to make FPS for our console? What's the problem? I don´t buy that PSP has no power to move a FPS (A decent one, I would say). Even PSOne had it´s own, good works for the time being. So , why should we be happy with this "Different point of view" of Killzone? How many people would like to be it like it was in ps2, or at least the same type of game? Another example we got it with the PSP version of 50 cent: Bulletproof, in ps2 was a 3D game, in the PSP again, the same crappy (in my opinion) aerial view. Looks like we are going to have ourselves an expensive Nintendo DS if companies keep doing things like this... Im relieved that several news later EA is going to publish Medal of Honor following the classic way... Also waiting to see Painkiller on our PSPs...
