Metal Gear Acid2, the descendant of Metal Gear Acid released in year 2004, will come with a brand new graphic engine and American-comic style graphic.

While the basics of the card system remain the same as its predecessor, the manipulation has got a brush-up, also the gameplay results more intuitionistically. As the categories of the cards have extended largely, more complex tactics will become possible. Tutorial Stages for newbie will be also available.

Like the US version of Acid, Acid 2 will feature a WiFi communication/multiplayer function.

Am I the only one who thinks Snake looks ugly as sin in those screenshots.

WOAH. Way too many neon colors, man. Jesus. This is insane. Don't MGS games usually use dull and dark colors?

OMFG Not another ONE!!!!
This GAME BLOWS!!!

The first one was pretty entertaining...

can anyone decipher wtf the above psoter said...

anyways, i'll stay neutral here...

i jsut recently purchased a psp and 5 days ago i purchased MGA... and i love it. yes, in the beginning it took me a while to figure out everything, but once i got the hang of it, i enjoyed it very much.

i'm just curious as to why ppl compare this to pokemon... i don't follow pokemon, but isn't it only the card game that uses cards, otherwise the gba games are more rpg like? how's that similar?

if anything i'd say compare it to more of a final fantasy tatics type game, just a bit different.

back on to the headline tho, the new cel shaded look, i guess is a bit different for the metal gear series, but as long as the game is good, graphics mean nothing. cuz a game can have great graphics but suck, and vice versa.

Yay! The first one is fantastic as are all the Metal Gear games!

by lwbsk8er - 2005-08-25 22:04

The game would be "fantastic" if they would get rid of the stupid cards. If it just played like the Metal Gear on Ps2 it would be awesome...

I must admit the first MGA was a really great game as I'm sure this one will be to but...... what possessed whoever has control over graphics make it comic/cell shaded style

Loved the first one, and will be planning on loving this one. I like the cards idea, in some ways it makes the gameplay more organised and very strategic.

by Anonymous - 2005-08-25 22:29

whoa! The colors are... brighter than usual. Even brighter than the E3 ones on gamespot!

MGA was a great game, eventough not for everyone. You surely need patience for this game which most of the younger people have zero of. But what the heck is this ? I knew that the 2nd part was going to be cell shaded but i didn't know that it's going to be THAT colourful. I prefer the graphics direction of the first part over this one.

by EnterDaMatrix - 2005-08-25 23:57

I think it'll look pretty cool. Keep in mind cell shaded graphics always look better in motion than screenshots. For example, go look at Jet Set Radio screenies and compare it to some movies.

You guys are obviously too casual to follow games. Those screens are pretty old by now and Kojima has already said in an interview why the MGA games are more colourful and why the sequel is even more so.

Dear Konami,

Please stop messing around and make a proper MGS game for the PSP. If you could make an MGS game for the old GameBoy Color you should be able to make one for the PSP.

Yours sincerely,
Everyone who hates turn-based card games

Make a real ****ing MGS game. Stop with this ****ing card game ****. You want to play cards then go play magic or pokemon.

Ehh yah so umm you need to shut the **** up. Every one has an opinion and is allowed to comment about it. Hence why your allowed to post a comment. You diss this guy and say to keep his comments to him self, you your allowed to say your own comment. So please shut the **** up.
By the way MGS with cards is really gay. Its not longer a Espionage game but a ****ing poki mon game like the guy stated above. Yay!

by Arwin - 2005-08-26 02:57

I don't really like the looks of this current version. But in general I thought the previous version worked very well. It's just that the problem for many was that you expected/wanted something more like MGS and couldn't see it as a different game, or at least different take - its still a lot of the same game, but with less Arcade, and more of the thinking/planning part of it.

I presume the different graphics are partly intended to make a clearer distinction between MGS and MGA, and probably also to enhance the integration with the cartoon-like story-telling of MGA.

by Anonymous - 2005-08-26 03:10
»

yeah might be as gay as the 1st one!

by Anonymous - 2005-08-26 03:25
»

Well, I've played the game and I liked it. You can't judge game untill you played through at least 3/4 of it.

by BurN - 2005-08-26 03:30

first one was not gay, it was teh sex. k?

I'm not sure i like that cel shaded "comic book style". I want the same pretty sweet graphics that were in the frst one :(.

the cards in the screenshots... are exactly the same, except they have wacky colors.. like barbie pink, and OMG orange.

but one more good thing, it seems this one wont only be in one facility, it looks as if you go around different places.. because a guy in a ricepicker hat isn't usually at a factory.

OMG i cant wait. The story for the first one was so f***ing insane, i stayed up 4 hours in the last stages of the game just because i had to know the ending.

is this card thing good i never got the first one cuz i was scared do u just like choose a card and watch him do some move like and rpg with cars or something anywho i like the cell shaded stuff its colorful and i like that its nice and bright

Nice screenshots. I don't particularly care for this new art style but it'll probably work well. And Oh my god the first one was ****ing amazing. I played it at my friends house and couldn't stop playing. It is incredible. And it definately plays nothing like a card game like pokemon or something. I didn't like how you had to get 2 cards to fire certain gns but that's my only complaint(the you get the weapon and then you have to load it with ammo thing). The game is a great mix of strategy and stealth. Oh and one more complaint: I hate how the card pickups are out of the way in some levels. Like in one, you had to go through one of those security things to get the cards and they were in rooms so u had to check every room and if u found one, you had to walk in and sound an alarm to get it. Other than the complaints above the first game was incredibly original and fun. Hopefully the second will be just as good. (also, it's more of a strategy game than a MGS game. There's sneaking around and disposing of guards silently and stuff but the main focus of the game is strategy and it does strategy well.

The GBC one sucked, its why he wont make a normal one for portables. MGA rules

Before you bash a game, take your time to play it. It's just retarded because people thought that MGA was a "sequel" or something when it's not. C'mon, when a franchise like Metal Gear has a new sequel, it's overly hyped and all over the gaming scene. MGA wasn't because it wasn't a true sequel, just a sidestory. Just because it's a spinoff of the main franchise doesn't make it a bad game. Take a look at games like Super Smash Brothers...they're successful and fun.

MGA is different, but it's the best strategy game on a handheld since...never mind, it's the funnest multiplayer game on a handheld since the first Pokemon...and before that, it was Tetris.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion, yes, but when you start bashing on something you have no clue on, it's called arrogance. Not willing to accept change is just plain ignorant.

I played the first one and IT SUCKED!!! I'm sure this one will 2!!!!

First of all, stop saying this is a MGS game. This is Gaidan, not part of the official series. Clearly this is Metal Gear AC!D and not Metal Gear SOLID. MGA cannot be a "propeR" MGS game because it is not part of the SOLID series.

People, please stop ****in and be open to new ideas. If you don't like it, just say you don't and leave it as is.

Hey im with 50% of the people that posted on here, the completely ruined metal gear, absolutly freakin riduclus, the card system sux so much its not even funny, i beat the first one and i STILL dont know how to use the cards to their full advantage. WTF are konimi thinkin these days, how is cell shadded suppose to be more realistic. o well i hope somethin works out in the future.

This game was awesome. You guys should take a few minutes and try it out; the card stuff only adds to MG being a SMART game where you need to THINK. I *LOVE IT*, the music is there, the atmosphere, great plot, everything is fantastic.

You really want to know why they made another? I'll tell you, it's not complicated. The reason they made another is because the first one sold REALLY REALLY WELL. Maybe if you guys don't buy this one, they might listen to your complaints about it. To a company like Konami, money is more important than the opinion of a few whiny little **** nuggets.

Techni: Ghost Babel (The GBC MGS) was awesome O_o It really packed in the fuctions to give the fullest Metal Gear experience availible. And the production values were incredible. ...which is a bit wierd incidentally, cause Kojima stated "system limitations" as the reason why there would never be a full, realtime Metal Gear on PSP >_o

I really, really want to enjoy MGA but I keep getting confused by the card system. My only other nitpick with it is the 2D art--I liked Snake far more when the old artist was drawing him.

I liked very much MGS but this version really sux, take a year to start playing and another to make a move, didn´t like it at all, i think they should make it like the Solid series it was so much nice to play and way fun.

Thats my opinion so if you MGA lovers dont like it just shut the f*** up

and it will never end to, card game like this is to launch every year a new one ...they will launch 100 of them to owne your money with new stupid idea of card and so on ....
