Looks nice.
First, heheh.
wth @ @;;' it doesnt fit with the whole style of the game (cell shading) ah well, its more sbout whats on that tiny flat donut [:
When's this one gonna hit? I, for one, can't wait.
lets hope its a regular version and not that crad based carp again. if it is, I'm closing the book on MG series for good.
The First Metal Gear Acid SUCKED! I had to return it to the store because it was so boring. I can't believe people actually enjoy this. It just shows that as long as you put Soild Snake in a game, No matter if it's good or horrible people will play it and "pretend" it's good. This game was horrible just admit it!
Well, I believe that people who enjoy turn-based stratergy games such as Advance wars, Final fantasy tactics and tactics ogre would love MGA. If you guys don't, then just stay away from it.
The whole idea of MGA is actually pretty good. It suffers, however, from how poorly it's executed.
Where the premise is to strategically build up card sets that will allow you to do what is required to complete a given mission, the whole process is so haphazard that you really wind up spending most of your time trying to make inadequate cards work while the most useful cards fail to appear regularly enough to do any good.
The game certainly isn't for MG fans specifically, it's really for Strategy fans and set in the MG world. Unfortunately, it fails to either be a good strategy game or MG title. Hopefully, MGA2 will correct the gameplay mechanics so that at least it will be a good strategy game even if it never meets MG fans expectations.
MGA, while limited compared to your standard MG games, does manage to make those limitations work in it's favor. Just having purchased SW: Battlefront II - a game where you can roam about freely - I have seen that the PSP doesn't really have the power to drive this sort of game well with any kind of consistency. I would be curious to see how well GTA handles this kind of freedom (as I have not played it yet) and compare the two to a possible classic style MGS game.
I love how the post above me is so good at articulating what he wants to say.
I will admit MGA had it's problems, but it can be pretty damn entertaining. Kojima was right not to make a full Metal Gear title; as GodMedia said it would most likely be awkward. I own Battlefront as well and managing the controls is an ordeal--none of the presets really feel good. For the record, I haven't tried GTA either...but for precise sneaking gameplay that the MGS series requires, I don't want to be struggling with the controls.
I am actually looking forward to this... I enjoyed the first Metal Gear Ac!d.
Sinjinn..you are an idiot. You can't compare MGS to Tenchu. Same as you can't compare MGS to Splinter Cell.
