Xbox 360 sales in UK better than before; PSP at an all-time low |

It comes as no surprise that the sales for the Xbox 360 are still soaring until now. To date, the Xbox 360 has received a 260% sales increase in the UK while the PSP is at an all-time low since it was launched. However, Sony will try to turn its fortunes around when the PSP Slim finally hits the shelves this September 14.Sony is expecting to bank on the PSP's 66MB NAND memory in the new Slim line, as well as the new 80GB PS3, to help increase their sales by the holidays.
On the other hand, things just seem to be looking up for Microsoft and the Xbox 360. The prices for the top selling console is expected to go down as Chinese manufacturers are looking to produce components that can play blue-laser, high-definition discs using a Chinese national standard (AVS), but are still compatible HD-DVD with only minor adjustments. Because of this, people will only need slight alterations will be needed to sell drives and components that can play HD-DVDs at rock-bottom prices.

Its pretty obvious that PSP sales have been down EVERYWHERE... they pulled stock months ago to drain shelves for the Slim..

360 is doing great! PSP needs more games and less movies, but at least it's doing better than PS3
Microsoft claimed in December 2006 that they sold/shipped 10,000,000 units. In March of 2007 Microsoft scaled back projections of selling 15,000,000 by June 07 to 12,000,0000 It is now September 07 and they still haven't gotten to 11,000,000 sold. And let's not forget about the 30 percent failure rate. That brings the number to 7 or 8 million working xbox 360's.
The PS3 has outsold The Xbox 360 according to VG charts numbers a little more than 3 to 1. Micosofts numbers haven't moved from the 10,000,000 range since Sony launched the PS3. Somehow when the NPD reports come out they twist things to make it look like The Xbox 360 continues to outsell the PS3 but that couldn't be further from the truth. Plain and simple; Sony has sold 4.5 million units since launch; The Xbox 360 hasn't even sold 1,000,000 units since Playstation 3 launch and has not met sales projections even after scaling them back.
The sales dropped, and it's totally understandable, I mean people know of the new Slim PSP, they won't get a fat one when the new model is just arround the corner.
About the 360, with Halo 3 and tons of new games coming out this fall this was a predictable situation.

I'm from a small town called Preston in north west of englnd and almost everybody own a 360. I only brought it becasue all my mates have, but the only game i own are gears of war, pro evo and bioshock. Of course people in preston are halo crazy, can't wait for that. I hope there a more good games coming out.
Only about 15% of english women are considered fit and most are seriously ugly and about English men.....not only are they gay + ugly but they smell and they also have dirty teeth and dont get me started with the accesnt. You can't take figures from different sources and come to conclusions, you have to look at the figures from ONE source and use those to observe the trends, i.e. compare LIKE with LIKE. Then compare these results to trends from other sources if you want.
For example, look at VGChartz.com;

a) It shows current world 360 sales higher than that of the PS3 (and in all the weeks since launch, PS3 sales are NEVER 3 times 360 sales, not even close!).
b) It shows current world 360 sales at 10.8 million, compared to 4.5 million for the PS3.
c) It shows 360 sales at the beginning of January 2007 at 7.96 million, compared to 1.37 million for the PS3.
So do the maths. These figures show the 360 sold 2.84 million in 2007, whilst the PS3 sold 3.13 million in 2007 (let's not talk about the Wii ;)).
So worldwide in 2007, the PS3 has sold 290k more than the 360 (thanks to Japan), which makes nonsense of your claim that the 360 hasn't sold 1 million since the PS3 launched!
If you take the figures from another SINGLE source, they will show you the SAME results (albeit with different figures). In otherwords, they will show you PS3 sales SLIGHTLY higher than 360 sales for 2007, with 360 sales currently higher than the PS3 worldwide.
However, if you look at the sales since the PS3 launched, the 360 has sold 5.5 million, whereas the PS3 has sold 4.4 million!
So please get your facts right next time.

the psp hasnt been sold a lot last months because it was simply NOT available here in europe.

the fat psp is better. You can use the 1.50 kernal and load isos. I personally have no problem lifting mine and the size difference is almost nothing.
Its funny because the 360 has all the good games. Would you buy car A over car B if car A had a blue-ray player in the back seat but no engine? Thats my analogy to why the ps3 sucks ass.
