Worms Open Warfare Wiggling to PSP and DS |
Ó
The developers of Worms and Lemmings, Team17, is going to release Worms Open Warfare this March 22nd.Those who are familiar with Worms know exactly how addictive this game gets. The object of the whole game is (1) to shoot out or blow out the worms of the other teams by using guns or mines, and (2) remain alive by avoiding landmines and exploding barrels.
Worms Open Warfare is available for PSP and DS. Comparisons between these two have been made, and since PSP has better screen resolution than the DS, the scenery and background look better in it than in the DS, though the DS version is still great. With PSP, you can also zoom out and view the whole map, giving you advantage during battle.
Worms Open Warfare has a multiplayer mode wherein four players can battle it out and see whose worms survive.

somebody should port that tank wars game or whatever it was called where you got different weapons like nukes and threw them across the screen.
about damn time! this is the whole reason i bought my psp in the first place! now i just gotta figure out what firmware it requires... hell, i DON'T CARE!!! worms is worth losing homebrew!
They should allow players to play over the internet [infrastructre??] against each other its perfect for it, turn based strategy. But once again I have to try and persuade my friends to 1. buy a psp 2. buy this game 3. come to my house - totally sucks.
Man, about damn time, been waiting for these two since the starting of the year....
I dread the thought of having to update my virgin 1.5. But considering the only homebrew I play is Worms (SNES) and Spider Solitare, it may be worth it. Maybe....
Worms is one of THE most addictive games I've played, and this will be one sweet addition to the ever expanding PSP game pile.
Dude! You post too much!
Anyway you CAN play this online if you use xLink, Kai to those who are familiar. Check it out: http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/xlink_kai.php
and these are the forums: http://texas.teamxlink.co.uk/forum/ .
I hope to see you there when this releases.
I guess Im gonna have to jump on the tunneling bandwagon. Anyway, this seems like a good reason to buy booze. Nothing like drunken arguments while playing worms.
anyone wanna play multiplayer through xlink kai?
