Here it is folks, less than 24 hours after Sony released the newest PSP software update version 6.60, homebrew dev some1 comes back on the scene to bring some good news to the community. The dev has apparently found a new loophole to the latest PSP firmware update.
Check out the video proof:
According to the description posted by G0l3m33, who was apparently given access some1 to test out his latest firmware exploit:
"This is the proof of concept for another kernelexploit found and developed by some1 for the latest firmware 6.60 running on all psp models. This video shows the exploit loading on the PSP Go!
"He is currently working on the downgrader so stay tuned. But until it is out I recommend you to keep away from the update since it has no features unless disabling your HENs ;-)"
Now things are really getting interesting again. Yesterday, homebrew dev neur0n and Team PRO has already posted a the progress they made in relation with firmware 6.60 that may lead to another custom firmware update in the coming days.

How do you figure? The PSP is a completely different system with very different hardware. The PSP hardware mistakes they've made in the past they're SURE to fix in the Vita.... after what happened to them with the PS3 I'm sure they won't go down easy.

BTW that kid who cracked the PS3 deserves SERIOUS props! Too bad those bastards mistook him for pirating. D:

I just might go ahead and get a Vita when it launches. At this rate, homebrew will be made for it in 3 months.
LMAO!!

Sony can't close back doors on PSP

They're probably better off hiring hackers to make their firmwares actually with security and no holes.
But then, nothing's 100%.

for those who are already saying that Vita is screwed just because of these hacks for PSP, just shut up and you should know that Vita has a lot of differences from PSP and one of those differences is Vita's system itself.
before you say is Vita is screwed, try to think that the handheld is "NOT OUT YET" on any stores nor even Japan.
