FIFA 08, like most of Electronic Arts' sports-themed video game franchise, will be released on various platforms but we'd like to focus on the PlayStation Portable build for this post. The developers sent QJ.NET an email regarding the exciting details fans of the game can expect from this year's iteration of the title.

Aside from the usual graphic enhancements, old features have been improved and new ones have been added. To make things a bit easier, here's an overview of what to expect with FIFA 08 when it arrives this Autumn:

• Manual Controls: New manual controls enable you to dictate the play with control over through-passing and crossing. Control the goalkeeper in one-on-one situations to deny the striker yourself. 
• Enhanced AI: New defensive and positioning logic requires greater tactical expertise to break down the opposition.  New AI ensures players are in the right place at the right time. Player and team traits differentiate the stars.
• Custom Formations: Design your own unique strategy to create the perfect formation and tactics. Set each player's exact position in the formation, and assign specific attacking and defensive runs to unlock the opposition.
• Manager Mode Improvements: New features include pre-season friendlies to test your team before a campaign, new training options to hone your squad of players and dynamic board expectations that change depending on your successes Â… or failures.
• Interactive Leagues On The Go!: Play the award-winning Interactive Leagues on the go. Play for your club online against your biggest rivals throughout the season in the F.A. Premier League, Bundesliga, French Ligue 1, and Mexican 1st Division. When they play, you play.
• IQ: Test your  knowledge in an all-new Quiz mode featuring thousands of questions from the world of. Use the points earned for correct answers to buy unlockable content, including third kits, videos, and more from the in-game FIFA  08 store.
• Complete Authenticity: Featuring 30 leagues, 30 real stadiums and 12,500 players all accurately re-created.
