Kristin Neirinckx, PSP's Marketing Manager, provided a walkthrough for the adhocParty system for the PSP over at the PS Blog. If you want to see how this feature works, then it's best for you to check the video out.

For those of you still confused as to what this adhocParty feature really does, it's basically an online service for the PSP owners with a PS3 system, which allows you to connect to one another via the PSN.

The adhocParty for the PSP is now available as a free download on the PS store.

You have to buy that little dongle to make it work. I might do that someday but right now I'll use the PS3.

Just tried it out with Gran Turismo. People were surprisingly nice, and all had headsets. I came in last every race and will probably stick to racing against the cpu from now on but still a lot of fun.

to get this one instead. I'm actually surpised that there are many more people using the US version of ad-hoc party over the Japanese version though.

On the PSP one there was usually one room in red. On the US version when I went on today there were two rooms in red, completely full and then one in orange which became red shortly there after.

People were playing Dissidia, Gundam vs Gundam, Monster Hunter Freed Unite, and Powerstone in the room I was in, which I own all of those but Gundam vs Gundam, so yeah. I played plenty of people in Dissidia in the short amount of time I had it open.

Definitely glad the US version was released. Now there's alot more exposure and it'll be far easier to play someone in a game.

I'm unable to load the ingame manual. A small white rectangle flicks up and fades out, then an almost full screen web page opens. It flashes to a 404 then a system message appears saying "There is not enough memory. The window content was replaced with a blank page."

After using the copy/paste feature I visited the manual's alleged address via the XMB web browser and can confirm the 404 page not found.
