After last week's rather scantily detailed announcement of Valhalla Knights 2: Battle Stance, Marvelous Entertainment has decided to let slip more details about the game.

Battle Stance is basically an updated version of Valhalla Knights 2, and the fact that there's a new battle system (called the "Active Action Battle" system) could mean that the difference is pretty significant.

This new battle system has resulted in the party count being dropped to four instead of six. It also lets players team up all their characters for a simultaneous attack. There are over 40 new items and weapons, new bosses, and some new quests to try out.

The game's also reportedly more user friendly. All over the game world, there are now Gate Crystals that instantly transport you to regions you've played through before. The status screens and the tutorial mode have also been improved as well.

Marvelous will also be giving away a strategy guide book (pic above) for those who pre-order the game in Japan. Judging by the reception to the US version of Valhalla Knights 2, it looks like chances that this update will get released outside Japan are slim. Importers can check out their online sources once the game is released on June 25.

» damn~

they should've implemented it in the first vk2.... why not a dlc?

» Well...

You can't have this as DLC for the original VK2 cause from the looks of it, its like got an entirely reprogramed battle system and probably a new storyline too~

Anyways, i liked the VK series though the battle system and traveling could have used the improvements that they seemed to have worked on this version. If they do it right it could very well be a very nice game +)

» oh well..

i had already cleared the game, and the most crucial thing that they left out is the game crystal for teleportation... it makes clearing up quests a pain in the butt because of the time to take to reach the specific dungeon is ridiculously large due to absence of teleport system...

oh and btw please revise the storyline... i am not even joyed when clearing the game... plot is too weak..

» About the story..

Doubt it'd be any better considering its hard to make a story where your charecters are made by you and have no background story that directly connects them into the game. I don't expect much out of the story from this game, Just give me a good deep battle and multiplayer system +)
