Lair on the PSP? Pictures of it were posted in the official PlayStation forums earlier, and yes, we know what you're thinking: it sounds fake. And honestly, some of us even thought that it looked Photoshopped at first. But y'know what? It's not!
Dozens of people have now also confirmed (and re-confirmed) that Lair works via Remote Play on the PSP! Now before you go all frothing at the mouth, we clarify: the PSP doesn't run the actual game; it's on Remote Play. It's being run on the PS3, but the game is being controlled on the PSP. There's a difference.
Of course, the control framework isn't the same, and the game won't handle as it would on the PS3. For example, dragons are controllable with the PSP's nub, but due to the lack of R2 or L2, you won't be able to land.
Though you definitely won't be able to finish the game on the PSP, if anything, this is still cool. Something you can show your friends to geekgasm over. The way some see it, it could actually simply be an Easter Egg that Factor 5 has put into the game for the fans. Despite this, a lot of other people are already spouting out all of these implications of future titles.

(On a related note, other people have tried Warhawk and GRAW 2 on Remote Play too, but sadly, it doesn't work.)

Makes you wonder if Sony have a redesign in the works to make playing PS3 titles on a handheld a reality. Doesn't seem too unrealistic given the PS3's 10 year life span.
And to the morons arguing over which is the better console, I own both and they each have their advantages. PS3 wins hands down on power and build quality, but Xbox has the killer apps. SOny has to play catch up. End of.

yes nice using the psp as a ps3 controller, but comeon noone would prefer that instead of using the actually ps3 controller,
it could be more usefull to controll the ps3 in other mode,s like the tv/music/video mode,

With refinements to the network code, you could remote play PS3 games on your PSP anywhere with a Wifi hotspot.
If somebody in the house needs to watch TV, you can give up the TV and continue your game on the PSP.

lol i really dont hope that this game will fully utilice the ps3,s cell chip like you say.
the games on the ps2 still increased its limits of using its chip this very day.
And sound quality depends on studio,s and its equipment where it is being mixed, not the ps3, it would play sound as good as the ps2 would,
yes maybe the ps3 would have better fx effects then the ps2, but since a good fx effect sound better and cousts more then the ps3 and ps2 together i prefer that being done in studio,s then on the ps3.
anyway probably just fance ps3 marketing.

Im sorry to say this,but remote play over internet is barely stable enough to view messages.if theres to long a delay between something then the connection times out,and in rare cses where the ps3 freezes during a video or something the psp will lose its registration with the ps3 and your screwed.
if ur friend has a PS3 and u dont, could u play this game off friend's ps3 on ur psp?? Cuz this game looks good, and it would be cool if i could play it on my psp (i dont have a ps3)...

360 Doesn't need this, but 360 does need a hardware overhaul. MicroSOFT is all about software which is good, but they should stop selling hardware and just make games for Sony (a real hardware manufacturer). Microsoft will go the same road as Sega if they keep making good games but crap hardware.

1) register your psp with your friends ps3 (USB both together and goto Remote play Settings on ps3)
2) Give him a call and ask him to pop in the game if he's not using his ps3 and turn on remote play. He can then use his tv as normal, just can't play the ps3 while you are using remote play.
3) Select remote play on your psp (you might need your friends PSN password to login)
I leave my ps3 on remote play all day while i'm at work for my girlfriend so she can listen to my 20 gigs of music on her PSP while she's working. I don't think the last two posters know what they are talking about. You weren't asking if you and your friend could play at the same time. (which you can't) But if he is just watching tv or doing anything but playing his ps3 you could do it. Later

Dude i bought a psone and it lasted about 2 years playing like crazy and never had to flip it over.
Ps2 does have that disc error issue after some time but ur a n00b, all u have to do is open the case, clean the lens with alcohol and reposition the height of the lens wich a kid can do. tops 10minutes and its bran new working foreber.
I dont know about xbox but im not interested since the games it has does not appeal me. Prob Halo and some other firstshooters are good but were's the RPG's?
Now nintendo has awsome games like zelda, mario and supersmash brothers, and some others but i like playstation becouse it has an overall type of games that i like.
Playstation and nintendo rox and instead of getting an xbox get a pc. Just my opinion.
wii- is aimed mostly at little kids.. bad nintendo. release more hardcore games , why u think the gamecube died. SNES / NES / N64 were badass.
360/Xbox - just suck , most of the games are multi-platform nowadays cept for the few exclusives but its still not enough to satisfy my RPG tastes. and having to buy a new 360 to get HD-DVD built in. is just another way that bill gates makes his money by making people by addons / new hardware. its a marketing scheme and its retarded.
ps3- expensive. yes. worth it. hell yes. 3 systems built in, blu ray / dvd player built in. FULL HD capability. and a vast array of awsome games that are coming out soon. Unfortunately PS3 had a slow start and I blame the software companies but heck once the blockbuster titles then the ps3 will truly be great.

They should have made different controller setups for either using a sixaxis controller or psp. Why not just use your sixaxis while using your psp as a portable screen?
