Underwater tactical action game U-Wars announced

Here's something new. Russian developer BIART has officially announced their "ambitious next gen project" called U-Wars, a tactical sci-fi third-person shooter set to be released on Xbox 360, PC, and PSP in mid-2010.

U-Wars is an underwater game, but I love how the press release describes the setting as "an ultra-realistic subaqueous scenario". The game tasks players with controlling an elite covert ops force both on land and in "subaqueous" situations.

This got me thinking: what ever happened to Hydrophobia?

Undertow fans may get quite pissed, but U-Wars is way different from Undertow, at that being similar to X-Com TFTD, with land and underwater missions, only in first person.
