UEFA EURO 2008: Battle of the Nations - Image 1If you're competitive in nature, you can definitely use that to your advantage in Electronic Arts upcoming UEFA Euro 2008 (PC, PS3, Xbox 360, PSP). The game features a unique daily competition called Battle of the Nations.

Players get to choose countries they want to represent once they log into EA's online servers. Do take note that you can't easily change that information once you're online. This is to prevent from people to change countries on a whim which could be used in destructive means to lower other country's scores.

With that out of the way, we get into the details of the matches in Battle of the Nations. Every match played will generate a score. This score will be added to the scores of the other players from around the globe. All positions acquired by the countries will be converted into points which will reflect in the overall leaderboards.

There are a total of five different leaderboards:
Kick Off (Team), Kick Off (Be a Pro), UEFA Euro 2008, Captain Your Country, and the Euro Online Knockout Cup. Be informed that midnight (CET) happens to be the cut-off time for a previous day's round of play and the beginning of a new day's worth of soccer. The top 250 gamers in any of the five leaderboards will receive a trophy the following day. Meanwhile, the top ten countries will be rewarded with points.
