Ubisoft Unveils Star Wars: Lethal Alliance For PSP And DS |
Ó
Ubisoft has announced a new game based on the Star Wars saga, developed exclusively for handhelds. Licensed by Lucas Arts, Lethal Alliance will be an exciting third-person action adventure that takes place between Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope. Players assume the roles of both TwiÂ’lek Rianna Saren and her security droid Zeeo, infiltrating Imperial strongholds and sabotaging the enemy. Working together with the droid will be crucial as dangerous tasks await this duo - all in order to uncover the Empire's deadliest secret: The Death Star.
Key features include:
- Unique collaborative fighting: Combining
the advanced arsenal and mobility of Rianna with her technologically flexible droid Zeeo creates an unbeatable team. Players need to let the characters cooperate with each other in order to complete the complex missions.
- Cinematic gameplay:
Lethal Alliance will feature a wide range of well-known Star Wars locations, from the buzzing streets of Coruscant and the corridors of the Death Star, to the dusty alleys of
Mos Eisley. Each planet allows for unique strategies, for example setting up holographic disguises to fool Imperial guards,
commandeering gun turrets, and ultimately escaping in a variety of ways.
- First original Star Wars game built exclusively for handhelds: Multiplayer modes enhance collaborative gameplay while taking advantage of the unique capabilities of both the PSP system and Nintendo DS.
- Iconic environments and characters: On the missions, players will encounter unforgettable Star Wars characters and species, including Boba Fett, Kyle Katarn, Princess Leia Organa, Darth Vader, Imperial officers, Rodians, Quarren and stormtroopers.

Great news for this cool game
Yea I'm liking what I'm hearing. specially about it just on handhelds
FIRST POST WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
at least we're hearing about games, not fimrwares and that crap, I want this game
reckon she'll turn into a jedi at some point?:-P
I always love meaningless hype like "cinematic gameplay" that doesn't actually SAY anything. It'll probably suck. Lego Star Wars II baby... Now THAT I can't wait for...
AWESOME GAME.. I CANT WAIT TO LEECH THE ISO OFF BITTORRENT ;) HAHAHA
To the poster above me HAHA LMAO.. And to the pointing out of those being screenshots from the psp version - we figured that cause the ds screenshots look like the old nes version of s.w. ,.'..
Looks great, I love that Kyle Katarn is making an appearence. and ISO lover, why type a post just to get a reaction?
What the hell is wrong with lucas arts? GIVE US JEDI KNIGHT IV, DAMNIT!
Some people on the Gamespot forums were confused and didnt know they were PSP screens.
It's not even hard to say it's of the PSP version. It's shaped to the PSP resolution - semi-widescreen. Anyhow I'm sure both will be of good gameplay regardless. I just hope it isn't another StarWars Episode 3 - like game for DS. I couldn't stand the horrible hybrid GBA/3D gameplay...
I want this! But also hope for a Jedi Knight title in the future. :)
This is how "Battlefront II" should have looked like...
she better weild a freakin lightsaber, i mean the only kool part of starwars are massive battles and jedis. from the ss i can tell that whatever she does seem to suck... i dont wanna kungfu storm troopers >.>
The developers have already stated she's not a force wielding character. They compared her more to the "Han Solo" type.
i dont know what to say other than....WE WANTEE NOW!!!
i'm all for more original titles designed from the ground up for the PSP. my only problem is that i know the game is going to require a newer firmware to run it. and i'm not getting another PSP until *after* i get my PS3. unless my fiance bites the bullet and gets the second PSP. but she's getting a 360 (the plus of having a finace/wife that plays video games is that you don't have to purchase all of the consoles. lol. she'll have a 360, which means *I'll* have a 360, and i'll have a PS3, meaning *she'll* have one. advice to all of you: get married asap. lol. kidding).
Are those PSP screenshots? This game looks nice.
looks gud
