Triple H - Image 1THQ and JAKKS Pacific have announced today the cover Superstars who will be gracing WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 (Microsoft Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Nintendo Wii, DS). It will be none other than D-Generation X founding members Triple H and Shawn Michaels.

The focus of this year's installment in the franchise is the tag team mode. This will be enriched further by the Road to Wrestlemania campaign that will have players guiding a pair of their favorite pro wrestlers in an expansive story mode full of challenges and choices to make. JAKKS thought that Michaels and Triple H are the perfect pair to symbolize this year's theme, hence the choice for the cover art.

Both Michaels and Triple H sport legendary careers in sports entertainment. Michaels is the WWE's first-ever Triple-crown champion and Triple H is the second man to accomplish the feat. Michaels has been a WWE champion four times while Triple H has captured the gold no less than a dozen times.

Both men command huge fan bases because of their cool characters and appetite for mayhem. Watch out for them when WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2009 comes along later this year.

» WWE iz reel!

No seriously, I agree with you. The show is fake as hell, everything that happens on it is scripted (even wins and losses). Yet some people really get into it..

» fake

The show is fake. But so is 24, Lost, and every other primetime television show.

To each their own.

Nonetheless, the games are fricken greatness. A lot of fun while you have friends over.

» Fake it is

It's also funny as hell. And no matter what you think going trough tables does not feel good.

I agree with you though, the games are easily the deepest fighting games on the market. And the create a wrestler feature is the best create-your-own-fighter available in games today. No other fighting games come close to the amount to detail. Here's hoping Soul Caliber comes close.
