Transformers:The Game launches website and three new screenshots |
Ó
The website for Transformers: The Game has already been launched, and in all honesty, it's looking just great. Loading up the site gives you the option to either Enter the Site or Enter Battle (whatever that may be since the Enter Battle section isn't open yet...).
Entering the site allows one to view the game's features, as well as videos and images from the game, and even the developers' blog. The opportunity to join the Beta testing of "Battle for the AllSpark" can also be found here, by clicking on the button found at the bottom of the screen. This particular bit really drew our attention since we have been waiting for a game like this ever since we were kids. No word has been given on when the full version of the web game will be available, but you can keep checking for it via our read link below.
Lastly, Activision also released some new screenshots for the game which shows the new Bumblebee in various stages of kicking Decepticon butt. The graphics are looking as polished as ever and we can't wait to get our hands on the game.

Seems like a great game. I always did love transformers, can 't wait for this.
first again
Ok, this is a PSP site...so, where are the PSP screenshots? duh...this is a PSP site not 360 site...lame
not psp related.
no robot game has done well so far ac and gundam so im not putting my money on this one being good although it does have some awsome detail
oh how i hate the designs for the movie. as much as i hate it, i'm still going to see the movie just because i grew up watching them as a kid. this game looks like a gundam ripoff and from the description of the gameplay on the site, it sounds like a rampage ripoff too. going around throwing cars and other crap at each other as well as destroying the world. wow sounds like a boat load of fun. even better, playing all the fun in true HD on next gen consoles. this is a perfect example how some games based on movies just blows. same goes with some movies based on games.
so,this MUST be a great game, it is the second iteration of the brand on a sony console and the first was awesome playable and fun thus deeply immersive adventure with big robots.i encourage everyone who is talking now to check the ps2 game and then make a comment on this pics...
You need to look again. It's posted on all sites, even PS3
This month’s CVG magazine has this exclusive article; this new issue is available now in stores! Yesterday, I went to a local bookstore then read it; do the same.
‘StarCraft: Ghost’ will be released in Nov. 2007 on the PS3 and X360! We all know about the indefinitely postponed PS2 and Xbox versions of StarGhost. Now Blizzard FINALLY and OFFICIALLY announced that StarGhost is well and alive; in fact, it’s only made for the next-gen consoles.
The following is the general summary of the exclusive CVG article I read yesterday.
- Blizzard said that StarGhost will have every reason to be the next most popular FPS game in 2007 in terms of ‘groundbreaking graphics’, ‘compelling story line’, ‘refined and amazing gameplay’, and much more.
- Blizzard confirmed that there will be gameplay screenshots and videos available to the public at this year’s E3 (I CAN’T WAIT to see this game in action!)
- StarGhost will have about 15 hours of cinematic ‘single player’ mode; you’ll explore the well-known StarCraft universe in the eyes of Nova – the Ghost.
- Cinematic and unforgettable ‘Single player’ mode in StarGhost will feature a lot of units (NPCs, bots) of total of 5 races: Terran, Protoss, Zerg, Zerg-Terran hybrid, Zerg-Protoss hybrid. Moreover very advanced AI (bots) in game will truly enhance the experience and gameplay.
- StarGhost will have all the right qualities to be the next KILLER FPS online title. Online modes include classic types like deathmatch, team deathmatch and capture the flag, and support up to 24 players; however, the real fruit of StarGhost is the new and revolutionary online mode: ‘Zerg Vs. Terran’.
- ‘Zerg Vs. Terran’ is a whole new ‘class & level’ based multiplayer mode with RPG elements (you must attack and destroy opponent’s fortified main base to win). Blizzard can proudly announce that the two factions (races) have totally difference elements to them. On team Zerg, you can play as ‘Zergling’, ‘Hydralisk’, ‘Mutalisk’ and ‘Ultralisk’. On Terran, you have these options: ‘Marine’, ‘Firebat’, ‘Engineer’ and ‘Ghost Operative’. You start the game as the lowest level units (level 1 such as Zerglings or Marines). You will respawn differently after you die based on your performance (you can earn and accumulate ‘experience points’ then use them up). Some units like Mutalisks have both first and third person point of view.

I just see a bunch of skeletal robots that look like *****. Where are the real Transformers?
(...Continued... Read the 1st half of this writing, too)
* Zerglings (level 1) - The fastest moving (speed is the key) organic land units. Can’t take too much damage. Can use ‘blood lust’ ability (quite devastating) for short amount of time. Have ‘burrow (surprise attacks)’ and ‘cloak detection’ ability.
* Hydralisks (level 2) – Have limited-ranged corrosive attack. This corrosive attack is only powerful against Terran’s vehicles. Have ‘burrow’ and ‘cloak detection’ ability.
* Mutalisks (level 3) – The only air units. Fire limited-ranged bio-plasma attack. The fastest moving units in the whole game. Highly maneuverable. Guerrilla attacks controlled by skilled players are highly dangerous. Can pick up enemy organic units then literally ‘eat’ (consume) them to refill health (OMG!!! If I do this (eating) to my friends online, it’s the most humiliating kill I can ever imagine!!!).
* Ultralisks (level 4) – The most devastatingly powerful (but very slow) land units. Only have melee attack. Huge hit points (health) and armor. The size of an Ultralisk is gigantic (as big as 15 Zerglings, 28 times bigger than a Marine). Have ‘slam (stun)’ ability (stun all nearby enemies for seconds by slamming the ground). Rushing with 1 Ultralisk in front and some Zerglings and Hydralisks at the back looks fantastic.
* Marines (level 1) – Carry ‘Gauss Rifle’.
* Firebats (level 2) – Carry Napalm-based flamethrower (very short ranged attack). Have better armor and health than Marines. Can fire ‘fully guided rockets’ by watching the camera on the missile. Have ‘burrow detection’ ability.
* Engineers (level 3) – They are the only units who can drive ‘Vultures’ (weak but fast moving land vehicles which can place land mines) or control ‘Turrets’ (there’re many Turrets throughout the map; Turrets are only effective against Mutalisks or Ultralisks). Have ‘burrow detection’ ability.
* Ghost Operatives (level 4) – Can use ‘rechargeable cloak’ ability for limited time. Carry ‘FDN92 sniper rifle’ which is only deadly against Zerglings and Hydralisks. Don’t have suitable weapons to fight with nearby enemies. Have weak armors.
- Terran can have early land domination with strong Firebats (only level 2) and vultures (only level 3).
- Zerg can have early air domination with Mutalisks (only level 3).
- Zerg seems weaker than Terran throughout the whole game until team Zerg acquires some Ultralisks. Anyway, thanks for reading this April 1st’s essay or... whatever so far... ^^;
just do what im doing. watch it as a cool over the top huge stompy robot explosion cgi movie.
this is NOT a real transformers movie. its a robot action film. and im sure, in that light, ill enjoy it. but as a transformers film, hell no.
that red robot in the top pic looks like it might be a movie-style design of shockwave. Im pretty sure he's not in the movie though ;(
I CAN'T WAIT!
imma get this game first day it comes out
its like GTA
maybe they are just generic enemy robots
no-name characters
could you at least put the link of the site? damn...
I though the first transformers game was ***** hot, flying about and ***** that was pretty cool, I hope this hame follows in the footsteps of the first one....
It's from the movie toyline. Goes by Swindle in packaging if I remember right.
Been planning on getting this for the PSP and the PS2. If I had a PS3 I'd get it there instead. I like the new look they gave the Transformers. Let's hope the game lives up to expectations.
