Kabaddi - Image 1 No, I wasn't talking about Native Americans in the title (although that itself might have been awesome). I was referring to the people of India and their traditional games.

Sony Computer Entertainment announced that they'll be adapting several traditional Indian games into the PSP and the PlayStation 2. Their goal, as country manager Atindriya Bose puts it, is to expand the gaming market to Tier II and III cities, and maintain their leadership in the Tier I ones.

The games, which will be released by march 2009, include such staples as kabaddi, kho kho and kite-flying. Another game, featuring a young Hanuman (a popular Indian warrior figure), is also currently in development.

All of these games will be outsourced to Indian-based developing companies, who will receive both financial and technical support from SCE London.

» Imagine...

Calling help desk for one of those games:

- Is your UMD drive turned on?

- Is your PSP switched on?

- Are your buttons functioning correctly?

- Do you have your PSP screen turned off? (Sir, that can be an often and honest mistake)
