Trademark time again, folks. This newly-spotted trademark filing indicates that Sony may be working on a rewards program for the more avid PlayStation product supporters out there.

The trademark is for the cleverly titled "P.S. Thanks," probably an abbreviation for "PlayStation Thanks." It's described as an "incentive program geared toward quantifying, identifying and motivating top consumer base with the goal of promotion and sale of video game hardware and software."

Since Sony has yet to formally confirm anything about this, we're left with speculation regarding how they're going to implement the rewards program. Maybe something like what Club Nintendo has -- buy games, get points, then exchange them for more games and other exclusive items.

if this is somehow implemented to the consumer, the end-user, that would def win more buyers, i think

Yeah that's exactly what I was thinking. The thing about the promotion of and sale of product kinda makes me think that it's just the new rewards program. I can't wait for it to start back up next week. I need me some free/cheap games!
