Promo!

Sure, it's not the manliest place to be if you're looking for some sort of gory shooter or that barely wholesome beach volleyball game, but it's hard to disagree with a good deal.

Toys "R" Us is offering a pretty nifty promo till October 28, where you can buy two games and get a third one free. It's not limited to any particular console, so you could buy something for your GBA, Xbox 360 and PS2 at the same time. You can make use of the promo by buying it online or going to the actual store, but you have to remember one thing about this deal: pre-orders don't count.

If you don't have the moolah to buy two games, you could always split the deal between you and two friends, making your "buy two, get one free" deal more of an all-purpose discount. You can't go wrong with 20 bucks off a Xbox 360 game, right? Just make sure the games you want to get are under their list of games under their promo, and you're good to go. Happy shopping gamers, and don't worry; we won't tell anyone about your hidden desire to become a Pokemon on your DS.

I bet

You have to get the third game as the cheapest of all three. Or at least equal value, that's how it always is. So if you want Call of Duty for 360, Okami for PS2 and friggan Ping Pals for DS then you get Ping Pals for free. I wonder if they'll let you get games like Guitar Hero or DDR though.

.

because they get less money lol

yep.

That's probably going to be the case. :( Doesn't really say in their ads, but you might as well expect that... so buy three high-priced games instead. :)

USA is not the only country in the world

This really pi$$e$ me off about QJ - if an article is specific to a country or region then put it at the top of the article.

SWEET!

Guitar Hero and the controller included, huh? Sweet. I paid $85 for mine when I got it like a year ago, it's probably much cheaper now, especially since GH2 is coming out soon. Thanks for letting me know!

Yesterday

The best thing to do for any Xbox360 owner is what I did yesterday. Buy the new Splinter Cell game and the new Tiger Woods game to keep and buy an extra Tiger Woods game with your free game. Then take the Tiger Woods game to Walmart and return it without a receipt for store credit. Then when Call of Duty 3 or Gears of War come out, you can use the store credit to get those games. There is also a 10% off one item coupon on any Toys R Us ad. So you can get all three games for $121, then take back Tiger for $63 in store credit at Walmart. Then if you use the store credit at Walmart to get a later released game, it is like getting three brand new X360 for $37.99 a piece plus tax. Great deal.
