TiVo on PSP, Treo, and iPod Minus the Middle Man |
Ó
TiVo owners have been able to play their recorded videos on their
gadgets for a long time now. So what makes this new update which was released by TiVo
themselves, any different? Here's what we've all been waiting for. Now it allows you to upload your videos and convert them at the same time - no need for third party software! Video conversion with free programs can be tedious at best and this update, which will cost TiVo subscribers an extra $25, allows you to directly move your TiVo'd videos straight from your unit to your TiVo Desktop and convert them to be played on the PSP, Treo, and iPod in one straight step.
The update, version 2.3, will also feature 'TiVoToGo' which will allow users to schedule TiVo to PC transfers. Now get out there and get your favorite episodes of Gilmore Girls Ultimate Fighting Championship on your gadget of choice!

first cool but i dont have tivo
frist 1 woot!!!111111 111
I used to watch Gilmore Girls... >_> What?
I resent that remark! LOL! My TiVo has been used to record Gilmore Girls in the past, and will be used again in the Fall. Oh, whatever will happen? Will Luke and Lorelai ever get married? Will Rory get smart and leave Logan? Will Paris take over a 3rd world nation? And the rest of you can make whatever jokes you want to, I truly won't care. ;)
You can watch what you want, but I still find it fruity that you watch Gilmore Girls.
i watched it im a guy but then again i zone out shoot the tv leave the room and then fall asleep on the couch so im different :) "nobody shoots nobody in the face unless your a hitman or a gamer"-a guy who hates games :: revolutionist ::
great. i get to watch commericals on my psp, treo, and ipod now. i'll stick to dl'n what i want in a hd divx format and convert it myself. i save $25 and don't have to forward through commericals.
wait i have TiVo but it's not like what ur talking about...i dont have the newer version....is there a way i can upgrade or something cause ive tried and on the tivo right now i cant download to and outer source. arrggghh~~ (-_-) ~~
I own two Tivos and one PSP. I like being able to watch TV/video on them both at my convenience. This software is a big disapointment and not at all worth $25 unless you have no inclination to do a little downloading and experimentation on your own with software all ready out there for free. It only converts to SP and gives you no options on the compression for it. The converted files look fine but I've got 1 1/2 hour movies in AVC that look just as good as 1/2 hour shows from this software at the same file size. On the plus side you can tell it to grab all the shows from a series, download and convert them automatically, and delete the original transfers automatically. But $25 bucks....
